Sumit Kumar now a well-known name after the IPL auction held in Dubai. His skills with bat and ball makes him apart being right arm medium pacer and Right- hand hard-hitting batsman. He has been always inspired by the great like Kapil Dev and in the present Hardik Pandya who has got the skill to benefit the team with multiple skills.

Sumit was picked by Delhi Capitals for 1 crore INR during the auction held in Dubai for 2024. It was 5x more than his base price. Huge moment for Sumit as he didn’t expect this much of money he said in an interview after the selection. Sumit’s performance in domestic circuit made the recognition for him as he can become an allrounder like Hardik which is good for any team to have a fast bowling allrounder.
Sumit made his IPL debut during Punjab and Delhi match on 23rd March 2024 where his start was not good and scored only 2 off 9 balls. With the ball he conceded 19 runs in 8 balls. Including last over.
