Born into a cricketing family Sarfaraz got the bat in his hand from his father when he was just 3.
Eldest of the three, he started training under the shadow of his father, who was a good cricketer in his day.
Naushad Khan (the father of Sarfaraz) had a dream of playing cricket for his country like other aspiring cricketers, but financial conditions and many other things didn’t fall in his favor, which is why he had to give up. He started putting all the dedication on Sarfaraz Khan.
Sarfaraz Khan never let him down with his performance, and his consistent persistency and perspiration came to limelight in the world of cricket when he smacked a brilliant quadruple century in just 421 balls in Harris Shield games back in 2009 at the age of 12.
It was the performance when Sarfaraz made his name and gained recognition in Mumbai cricket.
Note: The Harris Shield is a tournament where the likes of Sachin Tendulkar and Vinod Kambli made their names.

Where everyone was struggling with the bat, Sarfaraz himself performed well in that tournament and scored 211 runs in six games at an impressive average of 70 and strike rate of more than 105.
As he was not overage to represent the country at u19 level, he again went to represent the country for the second time in 2016, where Ishan Kishan was the captain of the team and Rishabh Pant was his deputy.
He again continued his sublime form and scored 355 runs in six innings at an average of 71. He was the second-highest run scorer of the tournament.
He holds the record for hitting the most fifties in u19 one day world cups, with seven across two world cups and five in 2016. Despite this performance, he didn’t get a call for the Indian senior men’s team.
