Played in the Sayyed Mushtaq Ali Trophy for Karnataka. Abhinav had been working really hard and waiting patiently for years, but he was still not receiving the right opportunity.
He was then steadily ageing and never had the opportunity to play at a higher level to demonstrate his abilities.
He was presented with an opportunity in 2022 when he went for the Rajasthan Royals trials and demonstrated his talent. But, after not being picked by the team, the Gujarat Titans purchased him for 2.6 crores, 13 times his base price of 20 lakhs.
About franchise and atmosphere –
Abhinav talked about his experience with the team, saying that he likes being a part of a successful franchise. He expressed his surprise at being selected by the Gujrat Gaints rather than the Rajsthan Royals after participating in their trials.
He added that Gujrat Titans has a wonderful atmosphere. Everyone here wants to form bonds with one another, and there is no sense of who is senior and who is junior, according to Hardik Bhai, who also claims that everyone here is just a player and that our only goal is to win the trophy.
Career Limelight –
When 11 runs were needed in the final over against Hyderabad, he scored a stunning knock of 35 in just 21 balls, earning him accolades in the IPL.
